The Used
The Used is an American rock band originating from Orem, Utah, founded in 2001. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Bert McCracken, guitarist Quinn Allman, bassist Jeph Howard, and drummer Branden Steineckert. The band's raw, emotive sound resonated with fans, rapidly gaining them a dedicated following.
The Used released their self-titled debut album in 2002, which was certified gold by the RIAA. Their follow-up album, "In Love and Death," released in 2004, further solidified their place in the post-hardcore scene, exploring themes of love, loss, and grief.
In 2006, they released "Lies for the Liars," and in 2009, the band's lineup changed when Steineckert was replaced by drummer Dan Whitesides. Despite several lineup changes over the years, The Used continued to produce music, with their latest album, "Heartwork," being released in 2020.
The Used's music often blends elements of punk rock, emo, and screamo, characterized by McCracken's distinctive vocals and emotionally charged lyrics. Throughout their career, they've been known for their high-energy live shows, contributing significantly to their reputation in the alternative music scene.
As of now, The Used is still active, continuing to tour and produce music, holding a significant place in the hearts of their fans worldwide.
