Slothrust is an American alternative rock band that originated in Boston, Massachusetts in 2010. The band consists of three members: Leah Wellbaum (vocals/guitar), Kyle Bann (bass), and Will Gorin (drums). All three members met while attending Sarah Lawrence College and bonded over their shared love for music.
The band's sound is a fusion of jazz, punk, and heavy rock, with lyrics that often explore themes of human experience, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships. The name "Slothrust" is a playful portmanteau of the words "sloth" and "thrust," reflecting the band's unique, quirky style.

"The Pact," their fourth studio album, was released in 2018, further solidifying their standing in the alternative rock scene.
