Nothing More is an American rock band from San Antonio, Texas, formed in 2003. The group is composed of Jonny Hawkins (lead vocals), Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Ben Anderson (drums). They have released six studio albums, with their self-titled album in 2014 gaining significant recognition and landing on the Billboard 200.
The band's music is often characterized by its blend of alternative rock, progressive rock, and elements of post-hardcore. Known for their energetic live performances, Nothing More utilizes a custom-built instrument known as "The Scorpion Tail" on stage, adding a unique visual and audio element to their shows.
Despite early challenges, including lineup changes and struggles with the music industry, Nothing More persevered and began to gain traction after their performance at the 2014 Aftershock Festival. The band's breakthrough single, "This is the Time (Ballast)," hit number 1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart and number 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
Nothing More has received three Grammy nominations: Best Rock Album for "The Stories We Tell Ourselves" and Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for "Go to War" in 2017.
