Juliette & The Licks
Genres
Meet Juliette and the Licks, a rockin' group led by actress and singer Juliette Lewis! They formed in Los Angeles, California, back in 2003. At first, it was Juliette, Patty Schemel on drums, Todd Morse playing guitar, and Paul III on bass. They released their debut EP, "...Like a Bolt of Lightning," in 2004 and then put out their first full-length album, "You're Speaking My Language," the following year.
The band toured all over, hit up festivals like the Vans Warped Tour, and even played at Hyde Park in the UK and some MTV award shows in Brazil and Australia! They added another album, "Four on the Floor," in 2006. But then the band called it quits in 2009.
In 2015, Juliette and the Licks reunited for a show in LA. After that, they toured again in 2016. Juliette herself went on a solo tour, and the future of the band was a question mark, but they even tweeted in 2018 about working on new music.
Their music is known for tunes like "You're Speaking My Language" and "Hot Kiss." And guess what? The band members were Juliette Lewis on lead vocals, Patty Schemel (drums), Todd Morse (guitar), and Paul III (bass) at first, but their lineup did change over time.
So, if you love rock music and a down-to-earth, friendly vibe, you might want to check out Juliette and the Licks! They're a group that rocks and has a connection to both the music and movie worlds!
