Jigsaw Youth

Jigsaw Youth is an all-female, New York-based punk rock band known for their vibrant energy and raw sound. The band was formed in 2015 by vocalist/guitarist Maria Alvarez and drummer Nastacha Beck. The band's lineup was later completed with the addition of bassist Hayley Livingston.

Inspired by the 90s Riot Grrrl movement, Jigsaw Youth combines the rawness of grunge with the attitude of punk, creating a unique sound that's both nostalgic and refreshing. Their lyrics often tackle themes of feminism, self-expression, and social issues, reflecting their commitment to advocacy and empowerment.

Despite being relatively new to the scene, Jigsaw Youth has quickly gained recognition for their impassioned performances and their DIY ethos. They've released several EPs and singles, including their debut EP, "Nothing Fits", and their most recent work, "Sorry for the Distortion". These works showcase their dynamic range, from aggressive punk anthems to softer, introspective tracks.
