Greta Van Fleet
Greta Van Fleet is an American rock band formed in 2012 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The band consists of four members: brothers Josh Kiszka on vocals, Jake Kiszka on guitar, Sam Kiszka on bass and keyboards, and their friend Danny Wagner on drums. Named after a local townswoman, the band's roots lie in the classic rock music they were raised on, drawing influence from artists like Led Zeppelin and Cream.
Greta Van Fleet gained rapid recognition in 2017 with their debut single "Highway Tune," which topped the Billboard US Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts. Their first studio album, "Anthem of the Peaceful Army," was released in 2018 and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.
Despite their young age, the band has received significant acclaim, including four Grammy nominations and a win for Best Rock Album in 2019 for their EP "From the Fires." Their sound is often noted for its throwback to classic rock, with Josh's vocals drawing frequent comparisons to Robert Plant.
Greta Van Fleet continues to make waves in the rock scene with their dynamic performances, their commitment to philanthropy, and their dedication to keeping the spirit of classic rock alive for a new generation.
