Dru Hill
Dru Hill is an American R&B group, named after Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, Maryland, where its members originated. Established in 1992, the group comprises lead singer Mark "Sisqó" Andrews, Larry "Jazz" Anthony, Tamir "Nokio" Ruffin, and James "Woody Rock" Green.
They first gained prominence in the mid-1990s with their debut self-titled album, which spawned the hit singles "Tell Me", "In My Bed", and "Never Make a Promise", establishing their presence in the R&B genre. Their subsequent album, "Enter the Dru", released in 1998, was even more successful, with hits like "How Deep Is Your Love" and "These are the Times".
However, the group faced internal conflicts that led to a temporary breakup. Sisqó embarked on a solo career, achieving massive success with the infamous "Thong Song". Despite this, Dru Hill reunited in 2002 and continues to make music, albeit less frequently.
Throughout their career, Dru Hill has been recognized for their harmonious sound and emotive lyrics, earning them a dedicated fan base and solidifying their place in R&B history. Their influence is felt in the work of many subsequent R&B artists, making them one of the most notable groups of their era.
