D.R.U.G.S
D.R.U.G.S. (Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows) is an American post-hardcore band formed in 2010. The group was the brainchild of former Chiodos vocalist Craig Owens, following his departure from the band. He gathered a group of veteran musicians including Nick Martin (Underminded), Matt Good (From First to Last), Aaron Stern (Matchbook Romance), and Adam Russell (Story of the Year) to create a new musical venture.
D.R.U.G.S. released their self-titled debut album in February 2011, which was well received by fans and critics alike. The band's style, often categorized as post-hardcore or emo, is characterized by its aggressive guitar work, intricate drum patterns, and Owens' distinctive vocal style.
In 2012, following the departure of Owens, the band went on an indefinite hiatus. He later rejoined Chiodos in 2012, and D.R.U.G.S remained inactive until 2020.
In December 2020, Owens announced the return of D.R.U.G.S with a new lineup, releasing a new single "King I Am". The current members include Craig Owens, Nick Martin, and Matt Good, joined by new members Tai Wright and Raul Rivera.
Despite their brief original run, D.R.U.G.S has left a significant impact on the post-hardcore scene, thanks to their intense performances, deeply personal lyrics, and the unique chemistry of its members.
