Trash Talk
Trash Talk is an American hardcore punk band hailing from Sacramento, California. The group was formed in 2005 by lead vocalist Lee Spielman, along with Garrett Stevenson on guitar, Spencer Pollard on bass, and Sam Bosson on drums. Their music is a blend of hardcore punk, noise, and thrash, characterized by their aggressive sound and energetic live performances.
Trash Talk's first self-titled EP was released in 2005, followed by their debut full-length album "Walking Disease" in 2007. The band gained significant traction in the hardcore punk scene with their second album "Plagues...Walking Disease" in 2008. Their relentless touring schedule and intense live shows further cemented their reputation in the punk community.
In 2012, Trash Talk became the first non-hip hop act to sign with Odd Future Records, a label founded by the hip-hop collective Odd Future. Their fourth album "119" was released under this label. The band continued to push boundaries with their fifth studio album "No Peace" in 2014, which incorporated elements of hip-hop and noise.
Despite numerous line-up changes, Trash Talk has maintained a consistent presence in the music scene, known for their raw sound, explosive performances, and refusal to adhere to genre norms. Their music reflects their rebellious spirit, tackling themes of social unrest, disillusionment, and personal struggle.
