Theory of a Deadman
Theory of a Deadman is a Canadian rock band formed in 2001 in Delta, British Columbia. The band was the first act to sign with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger's Roadrunner Records imprint, 604 Records. The group consists of members Tyler Connolly (lead vocals, lead guitar), Dave Brenner (rhythm guitar), Dean Back (bass), and Joey Dandeneau (drums).
The band's name originated from a song title from their intended first album, which later became "The Last Song" on their debut album. Theory of a Deadman's self-titled debut album was released in 2002 and the lead single "Make Up Your Mind" had some success on the rock charts.
Their second album, "Gasoline", released in 2005, spawned several hit singles and pushed the band into mainstream popularity. The band continued to enjoy success with subsequent albums like "Scars & Souvenirs" (2008), "The Truth Is..." (2011), "Savages" (2014), and "Wake Up Call" (2017).
Known for their fusion of post-grunge, alternative rock, and elements of country, Theory of a Deadman's lyrics often deal with relationships, personal struggles, and societal issues. They have been recognized with several Juno Award nominations in Canada and have built a dedicated fan base through extensive touring.
