Mammoth WVH is a solo project by American musician Wolfgang Van Halen. Born on March 16, 1991, Wolfgang is the son of the legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli. The name 'Mammoth WVH' is a homage to 'Mammoth', the original name of Van Halen, the iconic rock band led by his father.
Wolfgang began his musical career as the bassist for Van Halen in 2006, replacing Michael Anthony. He toured with the band until 2015, contributing to their 2012 album, "A Different Kind of Truth".
Wolfgang launched Mammoth WVH in 2020, stepping into the spotlight as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He played every instrument and sang every note on his self-titled debut album, released in June 2021. The album, featuring the hit single "Distance", a tribute to his late father, received positive reviews for its hard rock sound and heartfelt lyricism.
While his father's influence is evident, Wolfgang's music under Mammoth WVH showcases his own voice and style, offering a fresh take on rock music. Despite starting his career in the shadow of a rock legend, Wolfgang Van Halen has carved out his own successful path with Mammoth WVH.
