Kelis Rogers, known mononymously as Kelis, is an American singer, songwriter, and chef who has been a powerful force in the music and culinary worlds. Born on August 21, 1979, in Harlem, New York, Kelis showed an early interest in music. She attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she honed her singing and culinary skills.
Kelis debuted in the music industry in 1999 with her album, 'Kaleidoscope,' which featured the Grammy-nominated hit, "Caught Out There." Her eclectic style, blending R&B, hip-hop, and electronic music, set her apart. Her 2003 track, "Milkshake," became a cultural phenomenon, securing her a spot in the mainstream music scene.
In addition to her music career, Kelis pursued her passion for cooking, graduating from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. She has since launched a line of sauces, authored a cookbook, and hosted her cooking show, 'Saucy and Sweet.'
