Destroy Boys is an American punk rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 2015. The group was initially established as a duo by Alexia Roditis and Vi Mayugba. They started their musical journey by creating a simple Tumblr post, and today, they are a force to be reckoned with in the punk rock scene. The name 'Destroy Boys' was inspired by a Misfits T-shirt with the slogan 'Destroy All Boys'.
Their music is a blend of punk, grunge, and rock, with lyrical themes often revolving around personal experiences, feminism, and the challenges of adolescence. Their first album, "Sorry, Mom", was released in 2016, followed by "Make Room" in 2018. Both albums were well-received, showcasing the band's raw energy, emotive lyrics, and catchy hooks.
In 2019, the band was officially added to the lineup of the Vans Warped Tour, a significant milestone that helped them gain more recognition. In 2020, they released their third album, "Open Mouth, Open Heart". Despite the challenges of the global pandemic, Destroy Boys managed to further solidify their reputation as a dynamic and powerful punk rock band. Their music continues to resonate with a growing audience, offering a fresh perspective on the punk rock genre.
