Dayseeker is an American post-hardcore band based in Orange County, California. Formed in 2012, the group consists of vocalist Rory Rodriguez, guitarists Gino Sgambelluri and Miguel Cardona, bassist Ramone Valerio, and drummer Mike Karle.
The band started its journey with the release of their debut EP "What It Means To Be Defeated" in 2013. The EP drew attention for its potent mix of hardcore energy, melodic elements, and Rodriguez's emotive, deeply personal lyrics. This was followed by their first full-length album of the same name later in the year under InVogue Records, establishing their presence in the post-hardcore scene.
In 2015, Dayseeker released their second album "Origin", further refining their signature style. The band continued to impress with their third album "Dreaming Is Sinking /// Waking Is Rising" in 2017. This conceptual album showcased the band’s growth and musical evolution, featuring a more polished sound and intricate storytelling.
In 2019, Dayseeker took a bold leap with their fourth album, "Sleeptalk". The album marked a departure from their post-hardcore roots, embracing a more alternative rock and pop-oriented sound.
Throughout their career, Dayseeker has been recognized for their intense performances, deeply emotional lyrics, and the powerful vocals of Rory Rodriguez. Their music explores themes of loss, pain, and personal struggle, resonating with many listeners. Despite changes in their musical style, Dayseeker remains committed to creating impactful, authentic music.
