Cam’ron
Cam’ron, whose real name is Cameron Ezike Giles, is a renowned American rapper, actor, and entrepreneur. Born on February 4, 1976, in Harlem, New York, Cam’ron's passion for music started at a young age. He began his career in the mid-1990s as part of the rap group 'Children of the Corn'. After the group disbanded, he embarked on a solo career and released his debut album, "Confessions of Fire," in 1998, which was certified gold by the RIAA.
In 2001, Cam’ron achieved significant success with his third album, "Come Home With Me," which featured the popular singles "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma". Both tracks reached the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. This album marked his first under Roc-A-Fella Records, a label co-founded by Jay-Z.
Cam’ron is also the founder of the hip-hop group The Diplomats, commonly known as Dipset, together with his childhood friends Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey. The group was influential in the East Coast hip-hop scene in the early 2000s.
In addition to his music career, Cam’ron has ventured into acting, appearing in films like "Paid in Full" and his direct-to-DVD movie "Killa Season". He also launched his own record label, Diplomat Records, in the mid-2000s. Throughout his career, Cam’ron's unique style and lyrical creativity have established him as a significant figure in the hip-hop industry.
