Meet Braid, a legendary American emo band that started jamming together back in 1993 in sunny Champaign, Illinois. Their sound has been influenced by other cool groups like Gauge and Shudder to Think. They gained fame thanks to albums such as Frame & Canvas, which came out in 1998 and became one of those records you just can’t miss if you love ‘90s alternative tunes. After some ups and downs, they called it quits in 1999 but got right back into things starting in 2011 when they decided to play shows once again—even celebrating their 600th gig!
Bob Nanna, who hails from nearby Chicago, leads the pack as both vocalist and guitar player. Alongside him are his buddies Todd Bell on bass, Chris Broach handling guitars and singing too, plus talented stick man Damon Atkinson behind the kit since ’97. These guys know how to make great songs; check them out if you haven't already!
Since then, Braid hasn't stopped making waves, even dropping fresh tracks through releases like No Coast in recent times. So whether you grew up listening or discovered these dudes recently, there's always something exciting happening around our friends over at Braid central.
