Blind Channel is a Finnish rock band formed in 2013 in Oulu, Finland. The band comprises six members: Joel Hokka (vocals and guitar), Niko Moilanen (vocals), Joonas Porko (guitar), Olli Matela (bass), Tommi Lalli (drums), and Aleksi Kaunisvesi (keyboards).
Blind Channel's musical style is a unique fusion of metal, rock, and pop, which they refer to as "violent pop." They rose to prominence in 2014 with their debut album "Revolutions," featuring the hit single "Darker Than Black." The band's subsequent albums, "Blood Brothers" (2018) and "Violent Pop" (2020), further established their distinctive sound and solidified their place in Finland's music scene.
The band gained international recognition in 2021 when they represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest with their song "Dark Side," finishing in sixth place. The song's success catapulted them to international fame, expanding their fanbase beyond Finland's borders.
