Black Veil Brides
Black Veil Brides, often abbreviated as BVB, is an American rock band originating from Cincinnati, Ohio. The band was formed in 2006 by lead vocalist Andy Biersack, Johnny Herold, Phil Cenedella, Chris Riesenberg, and Nate Shipp. However, the band's current lineup consists of Biersack, along with guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, drummer Christian "CC" Coma, and bassist Lonny Eagleton.
Their music is characterized by a fusion of glam metal, punk rock, and heavy metal. They are known for their distinctive black makeup, body paint, and elaborate stage outfits, which pay homage to the stage presence of Kiss and Mötley Crüe.
Black Veil Brides released their debut album "We Stitch These Wounds" in 2010, followed by "Set the World on Fire" in 2011 which helped them gain significant recognition. Their third album "Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones" (2013), was a concept album accompanied by a film. The band continued to build on their success with subsequent albums including "Black Veil Brides" (2014) and "Vale" (2018).
Over the years, BVB has received numerous awards, including the Kerrang! Award for Best International Newcomer in 2011 and the Revolver Golden Gods Award for Best New Band in 2012. Despite lineup changes and evolving musical style, Black Veil Brides continues to captivate audiences with their theatrical performances and powerful music.
